CrossRoads is a community of followers of Jesus Christ;
a people of faith that exists because of God's grace.
We are an inter-denominational church seeking to fellowship,
worship and serve God with all who seek or call on the name
of Jesus as Lord and Savior.

By faith, we believe God has an immeasurable love for people
and that humans were created to be in a good, continual,
vital and loving spiritual relationship with God.
This is God's intention for humanity.
We believe that our (human) disobedience to God (what the Bible calls sin)
brought disruption into the human-God relationship leaving brokenness
which no human act could reconcile. Because we were intended to be in a
true, living spiritual relationship with God, what we experience is a
broken relationship and spiritual lifelessness that God desires to
restore…and Jesus is God's answer.

By faith, we all believe Jesus Christ is God's Son and that he once
walked on the earth. We believe that because people are God's treasure,
Jesus came to earth to show everyone everywhere how much God truly loves
people and truly desires a relationship. Jesus came to restore
wholeness to the brokenness between God and humanity. Jesus came to fully
restore the lost relationship and full spiritual life to all who would believe
in him. By Faith we believe that Jesus willingly gave himself as the perfect
sacrifice so humanity, through Jesus, might make amends with God for eternity.
The outcome is that the consequences of sin or disobedience and its power to
eternally separate us from God would be defeated once and for all.
This is God's gift to humanity for all who believe in Jesus.

We believe the Bible is God's perfect self-revelation to humanity.
We call it God's revealed word to each person, like a personal letter but
is also for all of God's church. It is our authority when we make decisions
about life and faith and as such contains all we need to know about God and
life as a follower of Jesus. In this way God's word to humanity is as relevant
and applicable as the day it was written.

As followers of Jesus our supreme desire is to know Jesus more and to be like him.
We live with Jesus and he lives with us with in a deep, real, intense and intimate
spiritual connection. We work for this spiritual connection to deepen all our
lives through reading and studying the Bible, by praying, by living in community
with other believers, and mostly by seeing ourselves like clay, desiring to be
molded and shaped to reflect Jesus.

Grace is the greatest and most distinctive hallmark of Jesus' followers
and of his church. Grace, for Jesus' followers, means the undeserved offering
of forgiveness for what stands between us and God. It is mediated by Jesus giving
himself as the perfect sacrifice for all humanity. Jesus giving himself on the
cross means that God would see the follower through his Son and not see sin but
in grace, a restored person. It is freely offered and can only be accepted in
exchange for complete self surrender to God. God's grace can not be earned by
trying to be good enough. Grace is an undeserved gift and all followers of
Jesus are, as believers in him, profoundly and eternally marked by this gift of God.
Grace most clearly reveals God's love for humanity and God's desire to have a
relationship with each of us. When we offer this same Grace to each other in
love, forgiveness, and desiring what is best for others we are able to show
that God lives within us as he has promised.
